Originally, this strain was imported from Afghanistan and selectively bred in Holland for indoor cultivation.
The plant has semi-dark green buds with generous amounts of resin all over.
Afghan has a strong acrid aroma. The smell is very pungent and narcotic. Some consider it as skunky. The taste is almost similar with the taste of hash , especially the seeds that are from the pure Afghan species. The taste is very strong due to its potent aroma, although it becomes very smooth when exhaled.
Greasy resin glands extend to the fat shade leaves. The smoke is heavy, with a strong, almost numbing buzz , when raised and cured properly. This plant has a high flower to leaf ratio and good yield. Afghan is one of the original genetic lines used in many popular modern day hybrids.
Some of the medicinal usage of Afghan includes helping to relieve muscle and nerve pain, eliminating tension and also great for inducing appetite.
